The RockDove footwear brand was originally born on a beach in Santa Monica, California. Founded as a shoe repair shop that resoled hiking boots for local adventurers, we later began making slippers to comfort their weary feet after their treks. Twenty years later, we're still crafting footwear inspired by the carefree spirit and laidback vibes of our SoCal beachtown roots.

Our entire design and customer support team remains firmly rooted in West Hollywood, just 10 miles down Santa Monica Boulevard from where it all started. Focused on making the world's most neglected shoe better, we experiment with innovative fabrics used in performance footwear and apply design principles from fashion shoemaking. This dedication to a single product allows us to uphold our core business beliefs - being customer-centric, practicing conscious production with fair wages and safe environments, remaining cruelty-free without any animal components or testing, and delivering consistent quality you can rely on.

The foundation of each RockDove slipper is a multi-layered foam construction - a pressure-mapped memory foam, a supportive foam for added firmness, and an anti-shock EVA layer. This custom-engineered "sweet spot" of comfort aims to console the 100-plus muscles, ligaments, and tendons in each weary foot, letting them move and groove freely after a long day.

Beyond just comfort, we're breathing new life into the slipper category. Inspired by the latest fabrics from LA's Fashion District and trends from nearby Hollywood, we're introducing chic silhouettes, vibrant colors, and bold prints that have never before been seen on slippers. We're out to prove that the mundane can be made beautiful.

Our slippers are designed to be machine washable, so you can spend more time relaxing and less time cleaning. Whether it's dust, stains, or odors, simply toss them in the wash, and they'll come out looking as good as new.

From our humble beginnings as a beachside workshop resoling hiking boots, we've grown to become a brand that provides comfort and respite for all types of hardworking feet, not just avid adventurers. Throughout 2020, we donated our best memory foam slippers to healthcare workers and first responders fighting the pandemic on the frontlines, hoping to provide a moment of rest and relaxation for their weary feet.
